Ensure ‘university beds are comfortable’
Teenagers heading off to university this autumn have been given tips on how to make their bedrooms feel like a home from home.
Writing for the Orlando Sentinel, Jean Patteson spoke to a number of experts who concluded that ensuring bedroom furniture is comfortable is one of the most important aspects.
People were advised to invest in a comfortable mattress so they can sleep well at night.
If purchasing a new mattress is not an option, then getting a pillow that provides good support is an alternative choice.
Ms Patteson explained that dependant on slumber positions, people need cushions of different heights.
For those who rest on their side a high one is advised, while stomach sleepers should have a low one.
Jessica Alexander of the Sleep Council recently advised individuals that being able to feel springs and hear creaks is a sign that it is time to invest in a new mattress, the Guardian reported.
