Light bed frames and mid-century look could be ideal for bedroom
Homeowners have been told of one stylish look they may wish to implement within their bedrooms, perhaps by choosing the right bed frames.
Writing for terrysfabrics.co.uk, interior designer Helen Green explains the mid-century modern feel is one that has never been out of fashion.
Indeed, she suggests contemporary, light bedroom furniture is just as trendy today as it was 50 years ago.
Commenting on the period, she states: “Influenced by Scandinavian design that used bleached plywood and light pieces with clean lines, later oak, teak and birch were chosen to create modern furniture in light tones.”
Those who follow Ms Green’s advice for their sleeping quarters may require a bed frame crafted from light wood and attractive bedding.
However, the author has not always been adamant lighter shades of wood are best, as she recently used her blog to advise people to snap up dark wood for dining furniture and other pieces.
