Tenants may do up homes with Silentnight beds
The increasing number of tenants in the UK may find that even if they do not own their home, they can at least find comfort in their own Silentnight bed.
James Davis, chief executive officer at Upad, says there has been a 28 per cent rise in the number of enquiries relating to rented accommodation.
He also suggests the pool of potential tenants is growing rapidly as many people look away from owning a home.
“That is an opportunity for landlords to put rents up because the housing stock is not keeping pace with demand, thereby pushing up prices,” Mr Davies explains.
Paragon recently announced research that concluded some 32 per cent of British landlords have hiked their rental prices up in the first quarter of the year.
