The worst gifts to give on Father’s Day
Dads have to put up with a lot, but when it comes to Father’s Day, the one day where they can get away with making bad jokes, the last thing they want is a gift that hasn’t had a lot of thought put into it.
No one likes a novelty gift, so to make sure that everyone is educated ahead of the big day, we surveyed the UK to find out which presents are the worst for a dad to receive.
The 10 worst presents that dads receive are:
Novelty socks 30%
A tacky mug 22%
Boxer shorts 14%
A six pack of lagers 13%
A silly apron 6%
An autobiography of someone you don’t like 6%
A stop snoring aid 6%
New BBQ tongs 5%
Novelty gifts never age well, and why all these ‘gifts’ might be seemly practical, no one likes being told that they snore in gift form.
The little things
So, what present would dads across the UK enjoy opening on Father’s Day?
According to over a quarter (29%) said that men just want an extra hour in bed or just the house to themselves for a little while. Other gifts high on the list are; being taken out for a nice lunch, a bottle of spirit or tickets to a football match.
And while 50% of fathers think that their other halves get better presents, this Father’s Day is the chance to turn the tide and get your father the present they really deserve.
How will you be treating your Dad this Fathers Day?
