100% sustainable & traceable materials
Hypnos offers sublime comfort with sustainability at its heart. We’re proud that the mattresses in the Luxurious Earth Collection, created exclusively for Bensons, are lovingly handcrafted using traditional skills passed down from generation to generation, free from foam, 100% recyclable and made from natural, certified sustainable materials traceable to their origin.
Hypnos’ sustainable design encourages responsible farming and ethical trade through working with initiatives such as Global Organic Textile Standard, CottonConnect, Better Cotton, The Woolkeepers® and Global Recycled Standard.
Handcrafted mattresses made in the UK
Each mattress in the Luxurious Earth Collection is crafted by hand in our Hypnos workshops in Buckinghamshire. The finest natural fibres are carefully layered on each side of the expertly engineered pocket springs and held in place under a luxurious natural cotton Belgian damask – free from FR chemicals.
The tailored border is finished with special chrome vents to help keep the inside of the mattress cool, and authentically hand-stitched to the pocket springs to ensure added edge support. The top and bottom damask covers are sewn together and hand-tufted to hold all the natural fibres in place under tension, to create a beautifully plush sleeping surface.
