Duo 1400 2-in-1 Mattress

A deep-quilted finish and an additional 400 springs takes the Duo 1400 to the next level – literally. At 32cm in height, it’s slightly taller than the Duo 1000 but the technology remains the same, with each spring working hard to support your body’s contours and provide premium, reactive support where you need it most.

Comfort for all seasons

Duo’s seasonal turnable element means it only needs turning twice a year - once in Spring/Summer, and once in Autumn/Winter. Here’s how each side works:

SPRING/SUMMER
This side features a cool-touch fabric, SensICE, to draw heat away from the body and keep you cool during the warmer nights.

AUTUMN/WINTER
This side features a snuggly ‘teddy bear’ fabric, plus wool, to help insulate the body and keep you cosy during the cooler nights.

Reinforced Edge Support

The reinforced edge support is created by a firmer spring wire, used along the outer two rows of the mattress. Designed to reinforce and support along the edge, this system improves durability and helps to extend the comfort life of the mattress. It helps to provide a consistent sleep surface all the way to the edge.

Premium Pocket Springs

Slumberland’s premium pocket springs are produced in the UK using a minimum 18% of recycled steel. The high-quality, heat-treated wire is tested for performance, quality, and durability. Each spring is wrapped in its own flexible, breathable fabric pocket to help provide minimised motion transfer and partner disturbance. The pocket spring moves independently to help deliver support and comfort allowing each spring to respond directly to the pressure placed on it. This helps to provide individual support, long-lasting comfort and uninterrupted sleep.

Filling Layers

New-life foundation layer

Our new-life foundation layer helps to provide additional support & enhances the firmness of the mattress. It helps to deliver a durable and protective layer to the internal spring unit to ensure a long and comfortable mattress life. Made using a minimum of 91% recycled fibres, we ensure unused materials from the Bensons Factory in Cambridgeshire and the John Cotton factory in Yorkshire are put to good use!

Performance support layer

This performance support layer is a comfort filling that helps to provide a springy and reactive performance to the Duo collection. The specially developed elastomeric binder fibre may ensure that this layer is more stable than standard polyester fillings. Not only is this layer free from harmful chemicals, but it is also breathable, helping to deliver a cooling feel. It is made from recycled materials, 24% recycled PET plastic bottles (that’s a minimum of 42 bottles per king-size mattress!) and can also be recycled at its end-of-life.

Pro-Bio

We’ve also applied Pro-Bio, which is a natural treatment added to combat harmful pathogens and look after positive micro-organisms. Pro-bio helps to prevent allergens, asthma, and that 'runny nose' feeling when you wake up. It also eliminates bad smells – what's not to love?
