Welcome to the Sleep Forecast, powered by Bensons for Beds

How does it work?

Fill in your location and answer a few simple questions about your personal sleep habits and our super-smart forecasting tools get to work, combining your responses with data around weather conditions, local events, news and even traffic! The Sleep Forecast then delivers your personalised sleep score as well as your outlook for the night ahead, giving you an insight on what to expect when it’s time to start snoozing! Your sleep report shares more information around how temperature and other external factors might impact your sleep.

Does the Sleep Forecast offer recommendations?

It most certainly does – your sleep forecast will offer a recommended read from our Sleep Hub so that you can learn more about what might be keeping you up at night. Your sleep report will also signpost products based on your forecast – received a prediction that you might be hot in bed tonight? Expect to see temperature regulating mattresses, comfy beds and adjustable duvets in your recommendations! Got kids who aren’t sleeping soundly? The Sleep Forecast will point you towards our range of kids’ beds and mattresses!

Why did Bensons create the Sleep Forecast?

If you regularly struggle with your sleep, you’re not alone! Our nationwide survey of 2,000 adults found that almost three in five (57%) regularly struggle to sleep, while over half (55%) wake up still feeling tired. Looking ahead, 84% of Brits said they want to improve their sleep in 2026 – the Sleep Forecast is the perfect tool to stay informed about what might be affecting your sleep – making a great night’s rest feel more achievable.

What’s the real cost of a bad night’s sleep?

The effects of a rough night’s snooze go beyond feeling groggy. In our survey over half of respondents (52%) said that poor sleep negatively affects their mood, outranking arguments with a partner (32%), or even having a cold (28%).

What would you trade for a good night’s rest?

Sleep is so highly valued that according to our survey three quarters of Brits (75%) would rather enjoy a perfect night’s sleep than receive £1,000, and 81% would choose it over sex with their partner.

The research was carried out by Research Without Barriers (RWB). All surveys were conducted December 2025. The sample comprised of 2,019 UK adults. All research conducted adheres to the UK Market Research Society (MRS) code of conduct (2023).
