What is a gaming bed?

Unlike high sleeper gaming beds which are aimed at children, we wanted to create an age-inclusive alternative that would be preferable for teenagers and adults alike.
And so, Re-charge was born.
Re-charge is comparable to a TV bed in that the TV – or gaming screen – rises from the footrest of the bed. But this gaming bed goes a step further than the ever-popular TV bed set-up. Featuring a ventilated console box, hooks on either side of the headboard for headsets and controllers and USB/ USBC charging ports along with other intuitive gaming hook-ups, there’s plenty to walk you through.
Another great thing about the gaming headset and controller hooks is that they are removable. So, if your partner does not like gaming, the hooks can be detached from their side of the bed.

It’s hard to deny the popularity of gaming. In 2023, the gaming market is expected to be worth $242.39 billion (1).
Historically, Sony and Microsoft have been neck and neck in the race to create the go-to standard for games consoles. But at the moment, the Sony PlayStation 5 seems to be dominating the race.

The Re-charge gaming bed has you covered whichever side of the bed you prefer to sleep on!

Our Re-charge gaming bed even features side opening ottoman storage with a built-in ventilated console box. The ventilated console box and storage opening can be positioned on either side of the bed – the choice is yours. And the format of this adaptable design means that you can determine which side of the bed also offers storage (for more gaming paraphernalia, simply seasonal clothing, or anything else you want to store out of sight as well as your gaming console) as you come to assemble it.
The ventilated console box will sit at the same side you choose to position the side opening ottoman storage on.

- HDMI 2.1 with eARC: enables audio from the TV to a separate audio device via an HDMI cable. eARC is an upgrade of the ARC and can handle higher bandwidth and uncompressed audio formats (4).

Our Re-charge gaming bed is available in multiple sizes:
- Small double Re-charge gaming bed: Our small double gaming bed has been designed to accommodate a small double mattress perfectly. Once fully assembled, the small double Re-charge gaming bed measures in at 1305mm x 2330mm (W x L). As the name suggests, small double beds are smaller than a double bed but larger than a single bed. If your bedroom is too small to fit a standard double gaming bed, then a small double is usually a good alternative. Offering enough space for two adults to sleep comfortably – if you share your bed with a partner – or plenty of space for solo sleepers to really spread out.
- Double Re-charge gaming bed: The double gaming bed has been designed to perfectly accommodate a standard UK double mattress. Once assembled, the double re-charge gaming bed measures 1450mm x 2330mm (W x L). A double bed sleeps two adults comfortably and is the most popular bed size in the UK. Double gaming beds can also be a great option for a teenager’s bedroom, especially if they seem to be outgrowing their single bed fast.
- King size Re-charge gaming bed: A king size bed has been specifically designed to accommodate a king size mattress. Once assembled, the Re-charge gaming bed measures in at 1600mm x 2460mm (W x L). Given the additional length, king size could be the right choice for taller teems too as they are 10cm longer than single, small double, and double beds.
